okay today is official my day - Fri the 13th. & since my name is Jason, i think it only fitting that today be my day that i be allowed to hack somebodies head off with an axe (see the horrible friday 13 movies, or not). jk.

okay so whats going on? these days i'm working on several new albums but have just finished up two colaborative albums with the Italian artist opium. the first album is titled "the present day" and will be released on the Holland Practising Nature Databloem sublabel in a month. i have provided the tricky percusive aspects on top of teo's beautifuly crafted field droans. Check it out.

Also, a colaboration between APK (aka the cirular ruins) and I has come to frutition and is now available via DataObscura records. The release is titled "We All Fall Down" and is a mix of my samples, Tony's synthesizer work, and also his mixing. Check it out here.

finally, i have been hosting a nightly radio show call "the experimental weightloss program" that airs every saturday night / sunday morning at 1am eastern time (thats 7am to anybody in belgium, holland, or italy). please feel free to visit wrfl881.org to listen in via 128kbps stream. wow okay i officialy suck because i haven't updated this site in a while. touring, designing website, producing another album, and studying about using music as a healing tool have all rendered me so busy that i can't hardly sleep. oh well i guess i can sleep when i'm dead, right?

okay so since i've been so bad at keeping up with the site, i've decided to post a video taken from a live perform i did at a coool venue called the ice house. check it out here. the track entitled "cibelle anatomical" may or may not be on the next release: cibelle anatomical performance

allrighty, i've just arrived in montreal, canada to a new finished album. last year, i worked via ftp and the internet with pheek on a melodic techno album under the moniker "social system". for more information about it all, check out the social system myspace page.

really, its been such a fun and weird project that's so out of the ordinary for me. but i think the altered way of thinking is why i like doing this music so much. it keeps me feeling open minded.

the album "autumn > spring" is now available in stores worldwide.

so this means shows shows shows - i'm playing several shows up here in canada and several more in europe this next month. i will try and stay up to date with information on these shows. but the best way to check out for show dates is at the myspace/offthesky site

well its exciting times for stilll records as their 3rd releasing is already nigh. i can't stop listening to this release with so many good new artists featured and several established talents. check out the stilll records site and purchase this album - it is going to be one of the more quality cds you will buy this year.

and i am going working with stilll on the American front to establish a USA distribution deal hopefully via Othermusic or Fatcat. we've all got our fingers crossed. if anyone of you out there knows of a good US distro to contact, please toss me an email letting me know...

finally, since the pressing of 'it is impossible...' via stilll records, i'm already working on releasing a live set via databloem/dataobscura records this coming spring to hail forth my second europe tour. i can't wait to go back to amsterdam and visit belgium where the best beer in the world lives...

finally finished an upcoming EP for autoplate, titled 'caustic light EP'. it is a set of 4 guitar works based upon the interpretation of a poem and the movement of caustic lights. this free release will be available via mp3 at autoplate. furthermore, the release is a precursor to the next full length off the sky album due out via stilll records this spetember. the album will be called "it is impossible to say just what i mean" and will be a series of post rock ambient songs.

still records will also be featuring an off the sky track on their third release, a compilation. stay tuned to this label as we will surely see many quality, interesting releases from them in the near to distant future!

just got back to california after a nice month long vacation touring europe and midwestern, us. but not a moment to rest for mutek is at hand. i'll be performing a duet with jean partice aka pheek on june the 5th. also, i'll be playing the live streaming audio 'le placard' show thursday june 2nd. check out mutek.ca for more info on the event and the le placard show.

my latest opus, "gently down the stream" is out and about at databloem records.

finished a group of songs while working with several other musicians to be released via autoplate in november. The album is titled 'the transitions' and contains 10 pieces that will be released under the moniker 'color by numbers'. not to be confused with my other "color cassette" project (originaly color by numbers but we had to change the name cause some other really bad boy band had already taken it), visit: color by number at myspace...

also visit autoplate, download great music for free there, and help out the environment a little...
